SALSA LADY STYLE (Cabaret style)
Tunnilla tutustumme musikaalisuuteen, eri kuubalaisten tanssityylien yhdistämiseen sekä kuubalaisen naisellisen liikekielen pehmeyteen ja tuliseen energiaan.
FEMININE CUBAN SON
Tunnilla keskitymme kuubalaisen Sonin eleganssiin, käsien linjauksiin ja liikekieleen (arm styling), perinteiseen askellukseen sekä liikesarjoihin.
AFRO BODY MOVEMENT
Tunnilla syvennymme tekniikkaan, kehotietoisuuteen ja ilmaisuvoimaiseen liikkeeseen.

- In the first class, we will explore musicality, the fusion of different Cuban styles, and the sweetness and fiery energy of Cuban feminine movement.
✨ Feminine Cuban Son
- In the second class, we will focus on the elegance of Cuban Son, arm styling, traditional footwork, and partner-free combinations.
✨ Afro Body Movement
- In the final class, we will dive deeper into technique, body awareness, and expressive movement.
Mailevis Ortega
My name is Mailevis Ortega Fernández, and I am a professional dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor from Artemisa, Cuba.
I began my dance training at the age of eight, studying ballet before continuing my education at the Escuela Vocacional de Arte, where I built a strong foundation in both classical ballet and traditional Cuban dance.
In 2003, I was accepted into the National Circus School of Cuba, where I expanded my artistic training in circus arts, gymnastics, contemporary dance, and artistic roller skating. I graduated as a professional trapeze artist and artistic roller skater.
After graduating, I worked as a solo dancer at the renowned Cabaret Continental in Varadero. Throughout my career, I have performed on international stages across Europe, Dubai, and aboard cruise ships, gaining extensive experience as both a performer and choreographer.
Today, I am based in Finland, where I work as a choreographer and dance instructor at Baila Baila and Tanssikoulu Kuubamo. I am also an ambassador for one of the Baltic region's most prestigious Latin dance events. In addition, I am the founder and artistic director of Proyecto Sabrosura, a project dedicated to promoting the richness, culture, and passion of Cuban and Latin dance.
My mission is to inspire, educate, and connect people through the universal language of dance, creating meaningful experiences that celebrate culture, artistic expression, and human connection.
